La Valse des Chênes
Voice – Laure Mollier
Guitar – Paul Tingen
Cello – Dylan Pugh
La valse se berce dans tes feuilles
et je me tiens devant toi vieil arbre.
Embrasse mon corps de ton souffle.
Laisse-moi entendre ton chant.
Le vent qui porte nos voix
dans le ciel et sur la terre
Dépose dans les vallées
nos semences bien aimées. |
Practice
Lyrics, music, voice and djembe – Phap Luu
look through to the heart
of this empty path
encircled by oaken boughs.
it allows passage
to those of firm step
and clear intention.
this is the fruit of trust

Planting Gardens
Music, lyrics, vocals, guitar – Joe Reilly
Guitar accompaniment – Paul Tingen
Cello – Dylan Pugh
You are the best medicine.
And you are my most intimate companion.
You are the strongest remedy,
And you are the truest friend to me.
I want to share you with the world,
In everything I do.
I want to let my actions fall away
So there’s only you.
I want to sing you to the sky.
I want to paint your picture
And never wonder why
This attraction runs so deep.
It woke the fraction of my heart
That was still asleep.
And you are the best medicine
And you are my most intimate companion.
You are the strongest remedy,
And you are the truest friend to me.
Friend to me.
I can see you in the faces of the people on the train
Tired, worried, homeless
In laughter and in pain
And I believe you saw the heavens
Long before the stars would shine
And you brought them down to Earth,
Turning water into wine.
You are the subject of every book I’ve wanted to read.
You are the most lovely flower, and the most relentless weed
You are the wisest woman, and the humblest man.
You are the brilliant blue universe
And the rich black land.
And I’ll be planting gardens of you
When the winter’s done
So that you can live again in the soil and the sun.
And I’ll be planting gardens of every time I sing
Leaving seeds, and smiles and innocence
And all the things you bring.
I will take you from my pocket so you can spread your wings
If you will let me fly with you from winter until spring.
If you’ll just let me fly with you, your servant, my king
You are the best medicine
And you are my most intimate companion.
You are the strongest remedy
And you are the truest friend to me.
Way hai yahoo
Way hai yahoo

4. Tree Meditation
Lyrics, music, voice, guitar – Joe Reilly
Guitar accompaniment – Paul Tingen
Cello – Dylan Pugh
Djembe and percussion – Phap Luu
Xylophone – Jeroen Cattoor
Backup vocals – Sangha Choir
Drinking tea I see that the steam is in me
It is water in a river flowing endlessly
The true nature of its being is ecology
We are all one organism and together we breathe.
Breathe in it’s the out-breath from the trees
Breath out exhale and the trees will breathe
Realize all rivers flow to the seas
We inter-are with the trees, when we breathe they breathe.
Breathe in, breathe out.
Breathe in, breathe out.
And as I strum my guitar and listen to its song
My perception of its being just may be wrong
But when I remember that I sing for fun
Then I know my guitar contains the sun
It was growing in the forest stretching out its leaves
Helping us to practice, as we breathe it breathes.
Breathe in with the out-breath from the trees
Breathe out exhale and the trees will breathe
Realize all rivers flow to the sea
We inter-are with the trees, when we breathe they breathe.
Breathe in with the out-breath from the trees
Breathe out exhale and the trees will breathe
Realize all rivers flow to the sea
Open your eyes so the forest is what you see.
Breathe in, breathe out.
Breathe in, breathe out.
Harmony and understanding.
Well I can stand like a tree with my roots down deep
And my branches wide open so I can see
The blue sky above, and feel the love
From the clouds and my friends that I’m singing of.
Well I’ve got a little garden growing in my heart
Sowing seeds of poetry, music and art.
I’ve been cultivating peace with my family
This garden is growing with the whole community.
We breathe in with the out-breath from the trees
Breathe out exhale and the trees will breathe
Realize all rivers flow to the sea
We inter-are with the trees when we breathe they breathe.
Breathe in with the out-breath from the trees
Breathe out exhale and the trees will breathe
Realize all rivers flow to the sea
Open your eyes so the forest is what you see.
Breathe in, breathe out.
Breathe in, breathe out.
This is a new day,
Right here and now.
Drinking tea I see that the steam is in me
It is water in a river flowing endlessly.

9. Three Refuges Song
Lyrics – Thich Nhat Hanh
Music – Chi-Sing Norman Eng
Vocals – Sangha Choir
Guitar – Joe Reilly, Paul Tingen
Djembe – Thay Phap Son
Sticks – Phap Luu
Handbell – Kasper Tingen
I take refuge in the Buddha
The one who shows me the way in this life.
I take refuge in the Dharma
The way of understanding and love.
I take refuge in the Sangha
The community that lives in harmony and awareness.
I take refuge in these Three Jewels
In perfect oneness of body, speech and mind.
Taking refuge in the Buddha
I clearly see the path of beauty in the world.
Taking refuge in the Dharma
I open many doors of transformation on the path.
Taking refuge in the Sangha
Shining light that keeps my practice free.
I take refuge in these Three Jewels
In perfect oneness of body, speech and mind.
Taking refuge in the Buddha in myself
I aspire to help all people recognize their own awakened nature
Realizing the mind of love.
Taking refuge in the Dharma in myself
I aspire to help all people fully master the ways of practice
And walk together on the path of liberation.
Taking refuge in the Sangha in myself
I aspire to help all people build fourfold communities
Embrace all beings and support their transformation.
I take refuge in these Three Jewels
In perfect oneness of body, speech and mind.
