Give your mind a rest.
Please give your cell phone a rest, as well.
When you leave early,
Others' attention leaves with you.
Please stay until the bell invites you to leave.
When you walk, take one step with each breathe.
Nor more, no less.
Don't rush...there is no place you are trying to get to.
However, when others must stand still behind you, they are not walking.
Moving to make yourself comfortable,
Can make others uncomfortable.
Please try to move mindfully only when necessary.
Be friends with your cough and bring it a treat.
If it does not want to leave, take your cough for a walk.
If you want to return, wait for a bell to invite you back.

If you are asked for advice,
give only what is yours to give...
your own practice.
When you share, share with the sangha
and not just one member.
If you ask for advice,
Do not expect to receive it.
If you have a question about the practice,
Perhaps it is better answered after the Dharma discussion
Encourage the question to become part of the discussion;
Not the answer.
Does your sharing invite others to share,
Or does it serve to silence others? |
