A bi-annual retreat for university educators and college students at all levels who are interested in meditation and its correlation to our life at school, in our family, and in our minds.

During the retreat we will have the opportunity to try many new things together in the process of coming back to ourself and the present moment. We will sit still, walk slowly, chew our food 30 times and more, practice Noble Silence in our dorm rooms at night and in the morning, wake up at 5am, not use any electronics, share together with one person sharing at a time etc. All these practices are to help our minds and bodies to slow down, to relax in order to understand our self and our world better. This understanding will bring much happiness, peace and love into our life. We might feel uncomfortable during some activities during the retreat, as they might challenge our habits. To allow ourselves to be open to experience something new and different is already learning.

To give yourself and the other people at the retreat a fair chance to benefit we ask that you only register if you are ready to commit to participate in all the activities during the retreat and stay until after lunch on Sunday.

For more information about the practice of mindfulness at Deer Park, download this pamplet.

In this pamphlet you find the schedule from a previous Education & Meditation retreat and some material.
