Family Retreat

My name is Sara and I am 12 years old. For the first time ever, I was fortunate enough to go to the Deer Park Family Retreat. It was such a wonderful experience for my family and I to practice being mindful all together. Even though my family is not of the Buddhist religion and I had never been to a monastery before, I am so happy that I can still be a part of this wonderful community. My family has always been oriented around non-violence, family, and respect, so it was a perfect fit for all of us.
